(REVIEW) Pear Créme Brulee by Bath & Body Works

This is one of those fragrances that is so Limited Edition it might not come back for the next 10 years! And I feel like this was left on the back burner and almost forgotten. You might regret not having it in your collection though, I’m just saying! By the time you decide to finally purchase it, it’s going to be no longer available, and that regret will consume you.

There’s quite a lot of love/hate relationships about this scent, but to me, it is pure "scentgasm", she is my bae! I also do agree that this fragrance is not for everybody since our body reacts differently to any variety of scents that are out there, but everyone can wear whatever fragrance they want, it is our freedom to smell great!

Bath & Body Works Pear Creme Brulee is one of those “very” Limited Edition fragrance that was released last year (2022) and is part of their new Champagne Brunch collection. It is described as a fruity custard topped with a crunchy sugar shell, with notes of Baked Pear, Caramelized Sugar, and Whipped Cream. And again, I am sold by the fragrance notes, I already knew that I was going to love this! Truth be told, this is a one of a kind fragrance.

And for my review, each of the variants pretty much smell the same, but I’ll be specific with each variant so keep on reading! If this bores you, you are free to skip XD

  1. A few seconds after spraying the Fine Fragrance Mist, I pick up a very well balanced mixture of Caramelized Sugar and Whipped Cream, the Pear is subtle and if you live in the Philippines and you know the local beverage we enjoy here during the warm season then you’ll know that this smells like a creamy, super sweet version of “Sago’t Gulaman”. And to elaborate the smell further, the Whipped Cream note in this has a very fluffy, airy, freshly made quality, while the Caramelized Sugar gives this a super sweet, syrupy, and sharp smell! As this scent dries down, you get that warm sensation from the Baked Pear, it gives off a scent similar to when you pull out a freshly baked custard with pear and there’s steam coming out, with melted sugar sizzling in the pan, and then you serve it on a plate with whipped cream. That’s how good this smells to me! The projection in the mist is so strong, I was literally having an orgasm smelling this, and this is just me, I don’t know about anybody else so don’t come for me, saying that I am overhyping this scent, gurl, I am not, I just love this scent, and I am so free to enjoy it and rave about it however I want!

  1. For the Shower Gel, I’m going to be straight forward, this variant has more whipped cream and caramelized sugar. The baked pear is slightly faint, but the entire smell lingers when you take a shower, especially if you are taking a hot shower, that’s when the scent lingers throughout your bathroom! And I regret not stocking up, I only have 2 left!

  1. The Body Lotion is what I’m surprised with, the smell is strong with the lotion, but not as strong as the mist though. But what’s the use of smelling so decadent and so delicious when nobody eats me? Like hello, is there somebody out there who’s willing to? But jokes aside, the smell in the lotion is exactly how I described the mist, so when you layer both, it’s a powerhouse dessert!

I’m so glad that this scent is super underrated, almost everybody doesn't like it and it's good news for me! I can enjoy this scent without having to think of running out of stock, I can purchase it anywhere! But maybe in a long while, it will be gone in the market,  so no worries, I have stocks!

I also would like to kindly inform everyone that this is NOT SAFE for blind buy, especially if you like fresh or floral or anything of the sorts. Even gourmand lovers out there don’t even seem to care about Pear Creme Brulee, but if you do own this, I’d love to hear from you!

Shout out to my awesome Anteh’s and Angkol’s! You guys deserve to be appreciated and acknowledged!
