(REVIEW) 3 Of My Favorite Sol De Janeiro Fragrances!
SOL DE JANEIRO FRAGRANCE MISTS REVIEW
I have these scents for almost two years now and they are still full! Your guy just doesn't want to use them because it's for display purposes only!! (for now..)
I discovered Sol De Janeiro when I started collecting fragrances that smell like "bakery goodness, you want to eat yourself". That was in the middle of the year 2020 when I was watching reviews on YouTube and Sol De Janeiro was in the recommendations, and immediately, this brand came for my wallet!
So enough said, here's my review of the gourmand fragrance I own from Sol De Janeiro.
Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62
- Top Notes: Pistachio, Almond
- Middle Notes: Heliotrope, Jasmine Petals
- Dry Down: Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Sandalwood
- Rating: 10/10
- Sillage: Enormous (use moderately!)
- Longevity: Long Lasting (stayed on my clothes the entire day till next morning!)
Here's an image to help you anticipate the smell of Cheirosa 62.
Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 71
- Top Notes: Caramelized Vanilla, Sea Salt
- Middle Notes: Toasted Macadamia Nut, White Chocolate
- Dry Down: Tonka Bean, Coconut Blossom
Now this is the ultimate Salted Caramel gourmand over the top fragrance I ever smelled! The opening is pure on Salted Caramel, ooey gooey, mouth watering, "eat me up" type of smell and it is irresistible! The mixture of Toasted Macadamia Nut and White Chocolate is just done right, it makes the scent creamy, sweet, nutty, and decadent without being overbearing, it is again a heaven on earth gourmand! It does smell like Caramel Popcorn drizzled with White Chocolate and I am obsessed, literally! If you have a partner, they will eat you up! This also has a staying power of a perfume, leaves a trail wherever you go, compliment getter, even somebody you walk pass by will turn their head on you, coz she is a head turner darling!!
For comparison, if you are trying to save some coins, I would suggest trying Christmas Cookies by Bath & Body Works, it smells almost identical to Cheirosa 71 but my concern with Christmas Cookies is it's overbearingly sweet and not buttery, whilst Cheirosa 71 is the perfect mixture of Salted Caramel, Nuts, and White Chocolate with a buttery undertone!
- Rating: 1000/10
- Sillage: Enormous
- Longevity: Long Lasting (the smell literally stays overnight!)
Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 39
- Top Note: Coconut Cream
- Middle Notes: Warm Vanilla, Tropical Orchid
- Dry Down: Creamy Sandalwood, Toasted Praline
I'm personally slightly sad with Cheirosa 39, you know why? It's because it smells exactly what I wanted it to smell like, Raffaello by Confeterria, you know, the brand that brought us Ferreiro Rocher? Yes, their coconut white chocolate balls, however the mixture of Tropical Orchid with the Coconut Cream in the opening has a greasy smell that's throwing me off, but thankfully that putrid greasy smell is only in the opening so I suggest you have to be patient with this one, and the dry down is a winner baby! I get a pure mixture of Coconut Cream, Vanilla, and Toasted Praline that truly evokes the smell of Raffaello! If you don't know what Raffaello is, I attached an image below for reference.
